The End (Pre sale, 2007)

We closed on the house March 3, 2003 - yup, 03-03-03. Guess that's our new lucky number! We signed the papers by one in the afternoon, by five we had two van loads of stuff that we had already boxed up moved over, and by nine in the evening we had changed the door locks and garage door opener, and cleaned the kitchen

Our Home and Garbo TV series Renovations has begun! This is going to be a heck of a project, as we will not be taking time off from work - everything has to be done evenings and weekends! Please follow the links for a day by day account. Make sure to come back and look at each page though, as film gets developed we will be adding to all the pages. If you scroll down below, you will find some pre-ownership pictures of the new house.

The authors would also like it noted that you can feel free to send money, food, tools, or beer to aid us in the completion of this project. Contact us for more information. After all, we all have our own cross to bear.

Located in Lebanon, NH, this is the "new" home of GIAK, Garbo.org, Garbo, and Karen! Here are a couple of photos. Note that there is some work to be done, and currently (1 Feb 2003) the house still has occupants with their belongings.

Side view, showing the 3 season porch. We are thinking of adding a deck to its roof.
Here's the "batcave". No more scraping ice off of the cars in the winter!
Interior shot of the hallway and stair case. The arched doorways were a real selling point. Also hard to see are the hardwood floors throughout.
A good working fireplace.
This is the infamous "outbuilding". We thought it was a dog house, until a closer inspection proved it to be a garden shed. This actually has some potential, though, as that is a stone retaining wall along its base, and it might be a great spot for the weber.
Sold! Yippee!
