After millennia as the most advanced known race, the Eldar fell from grace due to their own arrogance and selfishness. With their home worlds long since destroyed, the 41st. millennium finds the Eldar race living among the stars, upon giant space craft known as a Craftworld. Even though each Craftworld is as large as a small planet, little is known about them, due to the limited interaction that the Eldar allow with the other races in the universe. What interaction exists is either misleading and indirect, or brutal and violent. The Eldar remain an enigma among the stars, and their influence can seldom be quantified or quantified.

Of these Craftworlds, Orkan Baharr stands out among the others due to their revisionist nature and their pursuit of returning the Eldar to their homeworlds. Directly translated into common as the Green Storm, Orkan Baharr is perhaps better understood conceptually as the Bringers of Life; as they hope to rejoin the Eldar to their living planets. Their symbol is taken from the Tree of Carrec, a plant native to the original Eldar homeworld of l'arbre de vie. Not surprisingly, the Craftworld colors are green and silver, and while Aspect warriors follow their own code, all warriors wear green somewhere on their character.
An orkan Baharr battleforce moves out under the cover of morning mists
While the Eldar of Orkan Baharr saw the Craftworlds as a necessary step in securing the future of Eldar race, they have been concerned about the taint that a Craftworld based existence can bring. The artificial and non-natural state of a Craftworld existence is seen somewhat akin to the arrogance that lead to the Eldar’s first massive downfall, and Craftworld Orkan Baharr is determined not to let it happen again. To that end, the Craftworld has dedicated itself to the reformation of the Eldar homeworlds.
Orkan Baharr expends significant resources in locating suitable, ideally uninhabitable planets for re-population. Due to their exploratory nature, which can often lead to unforeseen circumstances and conflicts, their military force is a generalist force, relying heavily upon Guardian Squads and Craftworld built vehicles such as Falcons and Wave Serpents. Orkan Baharr is a large Craftworld, and as such can field almost every unit available, including all of the common Aspect warriors.
Tactics and unit configuration change can be modified to suit the situation and mission at hand, and the Craftworld forces remain dedicated to this adaptable and flexible nature. Smaller operations often include scouts (as they are often the first planetside) supported by Guardian Squads with heavy weapon platforms backed by hard hitting mobile units such as Vypers and Warwalkers. Larger conflicts can see a much larger manifestation of fire power, including multiple Falcons, Fire Prisms, and the inclusion of Aspect Warriors. Fast attack units are almost always included, regardless of force composition or mission.
seen above a rare Tempest heavy grav tank is supported by no less than two falcons, two wave serpents, three vypers, and a fire prism grav tank!
Unlike many Craftworlds that cherish not their dead, and use them as cannon fodder, Orkan Baharr closely guards their warriors of the past, and only in dire or extreme circumstances will a Craftworld Wraithlord or Wraithguard be seen. The preferred and time proven tactic of the Craftworld is to create a secure anchor point based on the Guardian Defender Squads, backed by heavy weapons, and that using the superior Eldar vehicle speeds to sweep past the enemy and strike them in the flank or rear, grinding them against the Guardian bastion. In the cases where a Wraithlord or Wraithguard is used, often these units are used to bolster the Guardian position, and provide necessary supporting fire power.
Striking Scorpians are the preferred Aspect warrior of Orkan Baharr, followed closely by Dark Reapers, Fire Dragons, and Howling Banshees. In almost all cases Craftworld Aspect warriors are transported into battle inside of Wave Serpents in order to better utilze their specialized skills.
The Craftworld is led by the guiding influence to two Farseers, Scarpia and Joncleave. Farseer Scarpia is the oldest, and most respected, having guided the Craftworld for many decades.. Farseer Joncleav was originally a member of the Beil-tan Craftworld, Joncleav believes firmly in the goal of Orken Baharr, and he has committed himself firmly to the cause.
