Big Mek Gooba liked the massive lascannon though, and the overall design appealed to him. He decided it was salvagable, and would make a fine addition to the Konviktz Armored Krumpany. In order to field it at the 2005 orkfest though, he could only devote a couple of hours. This is a quick conversion, we'll revisit it later on.
If you have time, check out the rest of the site too - including the ork army list, and the other conversions.
so 'ere we go!
Bringing it
back into the shop... |
in its original
status. |
side damage |
This must
have been the killing blow. |
Two new comlete
sides were cut from plasticard. |
They were
then re-inforced with rivited ribbing. |
a new access
door was added, and grab rails. |
and
the sides attached. |
Consensous
proved the squared off front was ugly, so Gooba cut down the front sides
to match the slope of the rig. |
In
the rear, they were left flat, and a walkway was added. |
Next
up was a dozer blade. I used the Forgeworld rhino blade as a prototype. |
It
was attached using a plastic ibeam and the imperial guard dozer attachement
(old one) |
with
the comleted dozer in place, some scenic chain around the gun, and some
new control wires... |
Next
up was adding some decent glyphs |
and
gubbinz! |
I
also put a ladder in the back. |
and
Gooba found the extra-soopa elektrical boosta device |
He
says it makes tea too.... |
Everything
got primed. |
and
than the base coat of regal blue on the extra armor and dozer blade. |
next,
for the worn look, vomit brown, but only along the edges |
than
olive drab was brushed on, leaving some vomit showing |
ove
the vomt and olive drab, tin bitz |
than
a chestnut wash |
It's
actually not this shiny in real life. |
And
a better picture with a drybrush of boltgun |
The
big shoota is mounted, as well as a few checks |
