- UPDATED 19 JUNE 2005 - Datz roight you gitz, Warboss Bob's in da big leagues now!
One of the few models that I have which is not of my own design or manufactuing, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to purchase this from my mate Krooza when he put it up for sale. Instead of being ashamed to field a model that's not my own, I'm proud to have this masterpiece in my collection.
Despite a good pack job, the transport across the atlantic resulted in a broken machine.
Both arms were busted clean off.
not to mention a foot! | |
Gooba began by hauling the pieces into the kanyon. reconstruction would have to take place in total secrecy, in order to deliver the rig on time for the NE megabash!
slowly but steadily the great machine was re-assembled
easy, easy. | |
I used the head as a test pattern piece.
assembled, the next step was painting this beast!
I used mulit coats of watered down regal blue and ultramarine blue for the panels. The bare metal is just boltgun drybrushed. The while is a vomit brown base, bleached bone, and finally skull white. Gives a nice rusty effect.
The buzz saw was tinbitzed, and than boltgun over that.
Not finished, but ready for the mega battle.
Final touches were his face, and I started "rusting" him up with vomit brown on his right side.
I love this picture. | |
