Space Marines vs. Eldar
Turn 6:
Too little too late, Storm Lord Force Commander Scarpian Kahn realizes that his unit is in trouble. The Devastator squad, seeking to aid them, move over in support, but they are just too far away. Scarpian Kahn moves himself, hoping beyond hope that the quickly dwindling tactical squad can hold out. Frustrated, the Kahn opens fire on the returning Storm guardians, killing all but the warlock.
Enraged by the decimation of his squad, the storm guardian warlock advances single handedly, and plants his witch blade deep into the center of the command razorback, gutting the machine.
Vicious hand to hand combat ensues over the relic, and after a hail of mandiblaster fire that fells another two marines, the Scorpion exarch steps up, and rips though Sergeant Eban's powerarmor with ease, killing him and the last marine outright. The Relic is saved!
QUICK NOTE:
Scarpia (playing the Storm Lords for the first time) thought for some dumb reason that you had to withdraw with the item - not just hold and protect it. Too bad, so sad. Without the doubt, the Eldar, despite being chewed up by marine fire, were saved by the speed of the waveserpent, and the sticking power of the Scorpions. Once again, they demonstrate why they are arguable the best of the aspect units.
