Campaign - Surprise At Pearl - Conclusion

Round 3 Dark Eldar vs Space Wolves Assassins Winner- Space Wolves!

Notes:

This was a 2000 pt battle, using the Assassins mission. A random length mission, this battle lasted 7 turns, and over five hours!

Battle Report:

  Dark Eldar Warriors began deployment
Their target, across the way, was the Space Wolf commanding officer. Note the Wolves had two bunkers!
  A well fortified imperial position.
The Ravager's light armor crumbles under the combined firepower of the Wolf Defenses. In the back you can see a full Raider bearing down on the Wolf's flank.
Much to Lord Vincentious's dismay, this Dark Eldar Warp Portal landed much to close for his liking. With it, came the Dark Horde pictured.
Due to the surprise of the Dark Eldar's web portal and their swiftness, hand to hand combat was joined early on. They moved so fast that the Wolf Lord didn't have enough time to move, and his squad is seen here already being assaulted!
Shockingly the Wolf Guard terminators were able to delay long enough for the Lord to escape, and with a counter assault led by the dreadnought and blood claws, the Dark Elder broke from hand to hand.
They would not be denied, however, and quickly regrouped.
Heading back into the fight, the initial Dark Eldar were supported by additional squads
Surprise! Another Dark Eldar unit pops in a very bad spot for the Wolves.
Things are starting to look a little dicey..
The Talos makes it's entrance, moving in for the kill.
The talos pops the rhino, and begins working it's way down the Wolf lines.
With their back to the wall, the Space Wolves demonstrated why they are a force to be reckoned with. The Rune Priest alone wiped out the assaulting squad in the middle trench.
And in the end, the talos too felt the wraith of the Imperium!
