In what's becoming an annual event, we flew down for the day to Baltimore. I got sick on the plane down, a result of a wee too much celebrating the evening before.
Unlike past years, I brought nothing for the Golden Deamon competition, due mostly to the fact that the real life move had put a crimp on modeling the past few months, as you well know, and there was little point in rushing a model to lose.
The selection this year in the GD was poor though, and there really were not that many impressive models as there were in th past. For a full report, see GW's page.
Mostly we walked around and met up with the other ork warbosses, and this year, met a few new ones. I did manage to talk to Jervis Johnson about the upcoming ork codex, and all he would give up is that ork players would be happy in 2008. He stressed that they were interested in bridging the gap between 2nd edition ork kookiness and the 3rd edition, and bringing back some of the fun to the army. I had suggested a more entertaining loot table, and he mentioned that was one thing they hadn't thought of....hmm.
Gooba managed to loot a few things and people around the center, and pickd up a few minis. Not many pictures this year, sorry, I was a bit out of it most of the day (bloody Irish pubs!).

And the model out of it's packing. That will make a great gobbo boss. |

Forgeworld also had a limited edition ork pilot model that one simply had to acquire. |

And a close up of his bitz. A really nice model. |
As always, if you can make it to gamesday, I would definitely recommend it. Who knows, maybe you'll see Gooba there!
