Barricades

United States GT rules specify players must provide 4 1 x 6 inch barricades, either tank traps or razor wire. In preperation for the August 2004 GT in Boston, I have been working on two of each.

UPDATED 7/28/04

Razorwire trap A: The bases are made of thick plastic, with styrofoam blocks for extras. The posts are from a Tamyia barricade kit, and the wire is 1/32 scale from a company calleed
Razorwire trap B.
First try at a tank barricade ended up with this Tamiya barricade way out of scale (1/.35) - exaggerated by the small base it would have to fit on.
 This ain't gonna work.
I cruised a dollar store in town, and found this great ice cube tray. For $1 I got hearts, balls, and stars. The stars are looking good!
Here is a star trimmed down and put on the base for scale. These will work. I am currently trying to cast some from this master, but if I run out of time, I will simply use the existing plastic part and paint it to hopefullly look like concrete.
Being short on time, as casting is going to take days, I went ahead and mounted the plastic stars onto bases.
The razor wire traps got a solid coat of watered down scorched brown.
