9 months after the 2011 popular revolution in Egypt, we visited the country. Our tour guide was one of those that defended the Egyptian Museum from looters during the riots, and we were shocked at how close the damage was to the Museum itself - barely a hundred feet away.


Only a week before our visit, 24 Coptic Christians were killed as the former power brokers work hard at breaking up the populace into religious lines.


Cairo is moving forward, much slower than it’s citizens would like, but time and history move at their own pace along the Nile.
