Just 9 months after the 2011 popular revolution in Egypt, we visited the country.
We stayed at Le Meridén Pyramids Hotel and Spa, that offered a spectacular view of the two best known Giza Pyramids, the Pyramid of Khufu and the Pyramid of Cheops from the pool. Decadence? Most definitely, but when combined with a private tour guide and car, made for a very enjoyable holiday experience.
