We headed for Lavenham, 25 kilometers northeast of Ipswich along the A 1141. Formally center of East Anglia's wool trade and one of the most visited and photographed villages in Suffolk. Lavenham has a tremendous number of half timbered houses that are still in decent shape thanks to the dedicated labors of their local preservation society.

The Parish Church is certainly one of the prettiest in England, and probably one of the most photographed ones as well, complete with its' 141 foot flint tower.

There was a loose horse running around near the parish church. A friendly guy, we did stop to tell the owners that their horse had busted out of his pen.
