April 2011, after the earthquake and Tsunami, we headed to Japan (on an already scheduled trip). While in Kyoto for a few days, we decided we couldn’t come this far and not go to Hiroshima.
The amazing bullet train system made this a quick day trip from Kyoto, and well worth it. Besides Peace Park, we had a great bowl of noodles under a bridge......no trolls allowed.
