We visited in April 2011, after the devastating earthquake and Tsunami. Tokyo, however, was Tokyo - business as normal.

We stayed in the Shin-Juku area, which proved to be dynamic and fun. Really good live music at night around the train station, a very happening place.  We also loved Electric Town, which is a must see.
