Aeolian Island Trip
25-28 June 2001.
Welcome to our odyssey, a true drama in the best Greek fashion (better, actually, as no young boys were molested in the making of this voyage).
We went here. We visited Lipari, Panarea, and Vulcano
Here's das boot. Turkish built, wallows plenty. 20 Meters long, about 5 meters wide.
Here's das food. We ate plenty, and was it good. Viney is one of the best Italian chef's around - and he's from Africa. |
|
Here's
das Krew. Viney, the cook, is in the middle, the 19 year old diving wonder boy
on the left, and Captain Grump on the right.

We visited exotic places like Lipari.....
...and Panarea.

Here's Vinay. This dude is a fantastic cook. As you might see, we dove and snorkeled out near these rocks..
Here, in plain view of Stromboli, we dove and snorkeled around this small island....
Another
great dive spot. Karen got jumped by a humongous octopus just behind
that small island.

|
This was one of the first of the sea life we saw. A large GINOS RINALDOS, or in the common tounge, a sea slug, guarded these waters. |
|
frightening
deck lizards soon infested our sturdy boat. Back you devils!

|
After those scary beasts, we were faced with a vicious harry nipple! |
|
and
finally, we were to happen upon the most evil of all sea creatures, the deadly
KRAKEN! Just say no to Crack!

Onward, intrepid reader, onward! |
