Day 18, March 20, 2003

Today, the University of Vermont men's basketball team was crushed by the mighty Arizona Wildcats. Cudos to UVM for even making the NCAA tournament, but we're happy that AZ is heading towards the final four. You got to be true to your school.

Elsewhere , the first full day of war with Iraq is in swing. 4 US, and 8 English marines died in a helicopter crash (non-combat related), resulting in the first casualties. What's that? You want to hear about the house? Oh, ok, ok....

Tonight was flooring night! Here's the cheap tile we grabbed at home depot - $.39 a square foot! !

Brother Jim Garbo was en route from Vermont to help, so before he got there we started in on the old toilet. Here it is in its infamous glory.
And the remains after I yanked it. Take a look at how DARK the paneling was!
Here's the old toilet and flooring.
And here's the bathroom with the new toilet and tile. What a difference! .
The new Kohler Serif toilet. Would you believe that even though I bought three different sized water supplies for this thing, we still didn't have the right one! Guess where I am headed to at lunch tomorrow.
The old kitchen floor. It was not this bad when we bought the house, but three weeks of painting, mortar, and grout work has taken its toll..
And the aftermath. WoW!.
As soon as the sink and faucet arrive, and we put the doors back on the cabinets, the kitchen will be done! Viva la difference!.
