Post-Phase I
We have received numerous requests in the last week or so asking what has been going on with the house. Well, despite comments to the contrary, we haven't been totally goofing off - here's some updated shots.
The kitchen sink. Here's how the kitchen sink will look. The first sink came damaged, was returned, and we are now awaiting its replacement. The faucet came perfect though, and we look forward to using it! Got to love kohler!
We cut this baseboard in the bathroom from rough stock, and routed the trim work. This is a before shot, because now it's been caulked and painted. We'll be posting a finished bathroom page soon. |
|
We've been playing with the layout in the Dining Room - right now the bakers rack is fitting best kitty corner. That plant has to go though - just too big!
What's this? Champagne, salmon, and caviar on a Sunday morning! Hey, we deserve it!
Here's a view from our front window, overlooking the street and our walk. We had a snowy Sunday.
And a perfect day for a nice fire.
Because we love the before and after pictures, here's a before in the kitchen.
And the after. We hirer out, in case you are interested.
A before (actually during) shot of the kitchen cabinets and countertop.
And the after. Look at that hardware gleam! All we have left to do in the kitchen is mount the new sink when it arrives.
As a final touch, we hung the French postcard set I had framed set over the island. We may add a pot rack as well, but we haven't decided yet.
We had such a problem with the enameled sink and delivery, that we ended up getting a fiberglass sink locally for around $110. Here's the finally finished kitchen.
And a close up of the sink. Between the deep bowls, and the super tall gooseneck (15") we can fill a 5 gallon bucket! |
