The Kitchen
The Kitchen measures roughly 11 x 14, and is an L shape. Currently there is an electric range and oven, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and a very large side by side refrigerator.
The modifications we have made are of a quasi-temporary nature; as soon as the other major projects are completed, and we have the available money, we hope to be able to redo the kitchen on a permanent basis.
Our goal was to make it liveable for us for the interem period, and spend less than $300. The result? Total expenditure was only $700! What happened? Almost all of the blame can be laid on the countertop. Due to mis-measurment, it ended up costing about $150 in total, instead of the $75 that was estimated. To make matters worse, as it looked so good, we decided it was a shame to use the same old dirty sink, and so we replaced it ($110), and than decided we might as well get the faucet we really wanted instead of a temporary one ($250). So there you have it, but it was definately worth it!
The shots below group pictures that we took during the remodeling.
