Chateaux Hallfell, Luxembourg |
We drove through to Hallfell, which had a 13th century castle that we had walk to, as the road was closed due to construction. This castle was now a youth hostel, and as such we were able to walk around the outside, but could not enter the building proper. We than reached Answegen, a small town with not one but two castles. Unfortunately both of them were private, the first having been turned into townhouses and the other was completely inaccessible to the public. The next town on our list was Septiforte, which had a beautiful 12th century castle that was also private and inaccessible.
