Below the
village of Auriac the ruins of this castle cling to a rocky spur,
overlooking a sheer cliff face. We are still trying to find information
on this castle, as non of our guide books have it listed. Note that
at the time of our visit it was noted as being off limits, however
we felt that restriction need not apply to us (Besides, having lived
in Italy for a year now, signs become sort of optional, or informational
at best).
To find this
castle, take route D 212 north from Peyrepertuse,
or from Carcassonne,
D 116 south to D 14 east, and than D 212 north.
