Mount Saint Michel

Mt. Saint Michel is considered one of the most holy sites in France, and for centuries it has attracted pilgrams and tourists alike.

It is really a monestary/church surrounded by a town, and despite it's touristy nature, it is well worth the visit, as the structure is truly amazing.

An island at high tide, make sure your car is saftly parked! We were very lucky when we were there, in that there was a small group of young ladies singing hymmns inside - with the acoustics of the building, it was amazing.

Here it is viewed from the Road. You have no idea how big this place really is.

View from a terrace located near the top, yes, those two specks are people, and the tide is out.
