Greek Boat Cruise Page 1 |
In April of 2000, we took a sailboat cruise throughout the Dodecanese islands in Greece, not too far from Turkey. There are a lot of picutures here, so the download will probably be long.
|
We flew into the Island of Keros, where we met the boat. On top, Joe and Kathy wait patently in the airport in Rome for our flight to Athens. From Athens to Keros, we took that little puddle hopper in the middle. That is the runway on Keros, and on the bottom, Joe can be see in the back of the plane holding the door shut (no joke), and Dawn looks on from a front seat.
|
Once we got to Keros, we took a taxi (two trips) to the marina where we met our crew.
Here we had a nice lunch while we got acquainted with the crew members.
This is the boat we were on, the Anna Maria, 55 feet, with four seperate cabins, each with its own head. |
|
The crew. Look out kids, Garbo's driving! Joe has his normal position, holding up the boom.
Garbo gets steering instructions from Mike, the boat captain
The real crew of the boat. Jules, steering, Mike, the captain, and Brett, who, despite being a paying passanger like us worked like a big dog the whole time.
The group! Left to right Joe, Garbo, Vinnie, Dawn, Karen, Brett, and 1st mate Jules.
Hot bodies! | |
Cinch those lines you scurvy dogs! Dr. Vinnie makes sure the boat doesn't drift away...
Brett swims in front of the Rat infested taverna that only opens in the summer. Nice place, aye?
