Turn 4.
Biterolf, his weapons smoking, senses the approach of the ork warboss, and turns to face him. His flamer never gets a chance, as his autocannon rips the warboss apart, removing its head, and arm with explosive rounds. Were he a normal human, Biterolf would have been unnerved by the continued glare the severed head gave him even after separated from its tree trunk of a body.
The long fang squad opens up on the killa kanz, but their aim is poor, and both the missile launcher and lascannon miss widely. The two heavy bolters both score hits, but fail to penetrate the frontal armor of the ork war machines. With a lack of targets, the scouts sit idle, and the Blood Claws continue to try and work themselves into a decent position.
The
klunkaz continue their advance upon the bridge, firing all of their weapons
against the long fangs, all of them missing horribly. The trukkaz gun
the gas and catch up to the klunkaz, firing their ‘eavy shootas at the
long fangs as well, but they too are unable to hit any of their targets.
The
slugga boyz surge up the hill towards the bridge, eager to meet the ‘umie
invaders. The retreating ork mob of shoota boyz continues to move towards
the rear, unwilling to stay in the fight.
