Mission: R.2. Bunker Assault

Turn 5:

The two remaining Space Wolf bikes advance forward, but one of them catches a wheel in the soft, spongy earth and the bike crashes, killing the rider.  The last rider, oblivious to his companions fate, moves in towards the the burna boys.

The Rhino transporting the Blood Claws also finds itself mired in the mucky ground, and is unable to move.  Upon this, the Blood Claws bail out of the stranded machine, and move into hand to hand combat with the stormboyz.

There is another deafening shriek as the whirlwind launches its payload of death, however the missiles land well off of target, and do harm.

Biterolf turns his assault cannon against the newly arrived Ork "tank", but the assault cannon fire ricochets harmlessly off of the Zzap Dragon's armor. Behind him, the Leman Russ targets the primitive ork dreadnought, and autocannon fire rakes across its chest, detonating the rokkit warheads in their launcher, making the weapon useless (figures these were good!).

The three burna boyz in the open manage to survive the shooting from the Blood Claw biker and the Gray Hunter Rhino with no losses. The lone Blood Claw biker assaults the three burna boyz, and kills all three in an awesome display of bike mounted close combat.

Across the roadway, the long fangs come up empty with their heavier weapons, but a heavy bolter manages to take down a single slugga boy.  The Wolf Guard fire at the approaching 'ard boyz, but their armor again protects them from the storm bolter fire. One 'ard boy is not as lucky though, as the assault cannon punches cleanly though his metal plates. The snipers on the hill come up empty. The Blood Claws consolidate into battle with the loonz, and the Nob sturmgar takes a wound from the Blood Claw sergeant, but a Fenrisien wolf falls to the blow of a choppa.

The Zzap dragon finds itself mired in the soft ground, but fortunately the grot rigger manages to push the mighty machine out.  Now moving, it turns its main weapon to bear on the Gray Hunter Rhino, and decimates that machine with a beam of green energy. The Gray Hunter's bail out from the burning wreck, all but one making it out alive.

Next to him, da Grotstompa moves foward towards the dreadnought, and fires his skorcha, but does little but singe the paint on Biterolf.  By da grotstompa's side, the gretchin advance, and let loose a barrage of blasta fire at the Iron Priest, but being gits, hit nothing.

Having watched the slaughter of the last of the burna boyz, the shootaz in the bunker turn all their weapons to bear against the single Blood Claw biker.  The Blood Claw stands valiantly in the hail of fire, but is dispatched by the massive barrage.

On the road, the single remaining rokkit trakk, still immobile, fires its rokkits at the Wolf Guard, catching one squarely, but the projectile is unable to penetrate the Guard's terminator armor. Da klunkaz, the sluggas, and the 'ard boyz advance, and as they do the killer kans shoot, each managing to hit a Wolf Guard as well, but the combined big shoota and rokkit fire comes up empty against their substantial armor.  The ork forces scream in frustration, as after all the shooting, not one Wolf Guard has fallen, proving without a doubt that this unit is more than worth its cost.

Da Grotstompa assaults Biterolf, the cumbersome ork machine barely making it into hand to hand range. Biterolf attacks first, but is unable to damage the clunky machine. Next to him the Iron Priest countercharges to help protect his ancient brethren,  but is surprised to see that his thunderhammer and servo arm are slower than the ork dreadnought. Da Grotstompa finally gets its feet planted, and swings mightily at both opponents,  its right claw ripping the power unit from Biterolfs torso, killing him, and the buzz saw catches the Iron Priest, the Priest's armor no match for the whirling blade of death. In  a moment, only da Grotstompa remains standing.

Sturmgar, the loonz nob, takes another wound from the Blood Claw Sergeant, this one is enough to kill the large ork. The remaining loonz kill both a Blood Claw and the remaining Fenrisien wolf, and the boyz consolidate into hand to hand with the Blood Claws.
