Operation Patch

Mission: R.1. Strongpoint

Turn 3:

Facing the approaching Kanz, the Gray Hunters decide against moving, and dig in for a solid  round of shooting.  Behind them, heavy support in the form of the Wolf guard continues to advance slowly.  The Gray Hunters fire at the Kanz, bolter shots ringing off the maddingly effective primitive armor.  A plasma gun fires twice, but it too is unable to do any damage.

Back up north, the Wolf scouts have much better luck with their plasma gun, as the first shot hits and destroys the 'eavy Chevy. A second shot causes the weapon to overheat in the scouts hands and it explodes, destroying it.

The Wolf bikers shoot at the ork buggies but just can't get past their armor. Frustrated, the Blood Claws charge the buggies, but find their hand to hand combat as equally futile.

The Blood Claws leave the transport, and join the fray with Bob and the Priest, managing to kill Bad Doc Bludcutta, and wound the mighty Warboss Bob himself.

Bob’s nob stuns Biterolf with his claw, and Bob himself, in a great fit of anger after having taken two wounds, rips the ancient warrior and his  sarcophagus from the dreadnought with his mighty claw, destroying the machine. Spinning, Bob crushes the life out of the Wolf Priest with a mighty backhand, flattening him to the ground. However, once again the Iron Wolf Amulet protects the Priest, and he rises unhurt. A nearby Blood Claw, who was also in close combat, is not as lucky, his power armor crushed from the blow. After having lost all but 2 nobz, and his trusty bad doc, Bob  freaks out by the seemingly unstoppable Iron Priest, and decides to beat feet  - only to be run down and killed from behind .

The buggies attempt to move, but the gun buggy and the trakk get mired in the soft ground (immobilized).  The remaining mobile blasta buggy scoots out and away from the wolf bikers. All three of the vehicles shoot at the wolf bikers, and manage to kill one of them with big shoota fire.

More ork reserves arrive; the sluggas appear in the middle of the road, and the ‘ardboyz along the earthen berm next to da Klunkaz.

da Klunkaz  move forward to assault rang of the Gray Hunters, and the burna boys finally start to move, as they to make their way up through the stuck buggies towards the Blood Claws.

On the southern edge, da Klunkaz fire at the Gray Hunters, but miss horribly.  Faring  a little better, the ‘ard boyz manage to slow roast fry one gray hunter with a burna

Both da Klunkaz  and the ‘ard boyz assault the gray hunters, killing all of the hunters but two, exchanging 7 dead 'umies for a lost buzz saw on a kan that was taken out by an errant krak grenade.  Unable to stand the attack, the Gray hunters flee, only to be run down by the ork forces.
