Kings Lynn |
An old port on the Great Ouse river, Kings Lynn was financially favored the way all major ports are, and its historical architecture reflects this fact. Unfortunately it was un-favored in the 1950's and 1960's when a great deal of the old town was leveled for a modern shopping complex.
The best examples of it's heyday are the church of St. Margaret, the Trinity Guildhall(1421, later modified in 1895), and the Hanseatic Warehouse (circa 1475).
