Notes: Altogether we have spent a fair amount of time in the British Isles both for work and pleasure. The best way to get around is via a rental car, as a number of the best sites are well off the main bus and train routes. Look for more additions to this in the future, as there are a number of places we haven't listed, such as Holy Isle.

Recommendations: Travel between September and May for best rates, weather is great early fall, mid to late spring. Look into the British Heritage Museum pass, this approximately $20 pass will get you in all state run museums, castles, and historic sites free of charge. Huge savings.
